Maffmatix started his musical career in Los Angeles, primarily working with rappers and metalheads, honing his craft amongst bohemian buskers and underground bands. The wide variety of collaborations and styles he worked with significantly expanded his palette.
After moving to Bangkok, Maff enjoyed many musical endeavors, including touring with indie band Rock Shreller and touring South East Asia as a DJ, producing his own music. Whether it was house, techno, or more downtempo vibes – there was always one common theme: dance.
After starting Shrell Records in October 2020, Maff has been releasing new music monthly, hastily gaining momentum in the electronic music community. A recent collaboration with up-and-coming Bangkok artist Atiya entitled “Wake Up” (along with an impressive music video) has seen great success. Stay tuned for more collaborations and new music from Maffmatix & Shrell Records.
Today, Maffmatix has gone back to his roots and is releasing his first solo album, "Metanoia Seven" - a collection of seven songs that came to him during a time of great transformation for Maffmatix with the invaluable contributions of some amazing artists as well.
