Rick Reichert
This music is an era surfing ride touching elements of rock music from the 70s to now. Guitar and lyric-driven storytelling combines both mythical and daily life elements into the journey. At the same time, it’s straightforward, no-nonsense, driving rock music with stunning guitar solos combined with harmonies and melodies you won’t forget!
Rick Reichert spent his early years traveling the globe with his family as the son of U.S. Air Force serving parents; settling eventually in Central New York. During this time Rick was a noted vocalist in his early years but instead of music, opted to pursue service in the U.S. Armed Forces himself, interestingly serving in both the NYS Army National Guard and the United States Navy over a 5-year period. While Rick didn’t meet his goal of becoming an EOD diver, he did go on to serve as a Gunner’s Mate stationed in Pearl Harbor, deploying to the Persian Gulf once.
Having returned to Central New York after the military, Rick grew tired of his inability to put the songs in his head to the music, leading his wife Kristin to buy him his first guitar. Left-handed, Rick took up the right-handed instrument in earnest. 6 guitars and some additional years later he has had the pleasure of teaming up with Grammy-nominated Bob F. Acquaviva to produce his first album release, ALONG A PATH.
Rick is a long-time martial artist and medieval armored combatant, and those themes and associated adversities leave their imprint on the writing style of the music and lyrics. Plans for live shows to build off the popularity of the new album are in the works as of this writing; with the music recently featured on local radio stations 95X and 92.7 The Drive.
